Update

 

Great news, project has hit a turning point as not only the parts are fully ordered, they are being produced in volume as we speak and soon slowly starting to be delivered to our warehouses for assembly. So all in all, it looks good for June deliveries.

 

Progress

 

From the legal side of things, process and steps to set up the Swiss entity are ongoing nicely, our personnel travel to Basel and Geneva all the time to make that happen and to be ready. Boring stuff, but necessary for SWISS MADE to be granted and so on, so much things to do in preparation for that, but we are on the ball all the time.

 

Case manufacturer is producing the ordered production versions as well, that applies to manufacture of the sapphire and mineral glasses that go with them. When certain amount is reached QC will kick in too, to ensure we have a smooth run on assembly.

 

Same goes to hands and dials, those are being produced as well, QC on stand by too.

 

On the movements same as the above. As mentioned in the last update, we had to order from private label to shorten the delay. Good progress there too, movements' rotors are being disassembled and customized to our needs.

 

As mentioned before we have met with our suppliers and key figures of watchworld in person at Baselworld and are following up on those meetings. This is an ongoing process for partnerships and future products development.

Přiznám se, že v té záplavě informací a dezinformací :-) mi to uniklo. Přemýšlím, že odkaz pošlu hlavnímu komikovi s prosbou o vyjádření.

Sichy, tohle už je regulerní objednávka, nikoli ty Kickstarterové srandičky pro hejly. Smrdí to, s ohledem na četná vyjádření Chronotechna teamu k logu, docela slušným podvodem. Blíže zde, co se mi nelíbí:

Tak je jasný, že Kickstarter projekty můžou dopadnout všelijak a je asi trochu nutné počítat s tím, že se finální podoba změní... Zrovna tady bych to ale po tomhle vyjádření nečekal:

 

 

Pokud jsem to dobře pochopil, tak prý měli od začátku reálné prototypy s logem... Takže v tom případě ve světle těch jejich dalších vyjádřeních a úprav loga to buď byla lež, neměli nic a od začátku byl vše render, nebo už tehdy prototyp měli a tudíž jim musela být jasná i zmetkovost kusů při výrobě cifru a že asi ve finále budou mít logo jiné, ale to by jim lidi pravděpodobně nebackovali. Takže taky ne ok. Jak mám kickstarter projekty rád, hlavně gamingové, tak tady jsem fakt rád, že jsem to nakonec nepodpořil...

Update pred tydnem 

Time

We have not actually touched on the real matter at hand, yet. Why do we all love watches? Is it the pure craftsmanship, the material blend it brings on one of the physically smallest produce of men? Or maybe, is it something much more elaborate, something untouchable, abstract, yet so very well real for all of us? Nearly two and a half thousand years ago, Aristotle contended that, ?time is the most unknown of all unknown things?, and arguably not much has changed since then.

 

Basics

The physics among us would say that Time is a necessary parameter in order to describe observed changes in three dimensional space. Watches can be anything that consistently reproduces periodically at a specific location/point.

If there were no observable changes in the presentation map of the world there would be no time parametrization needed, time would not exist.

Relativistic

Therefore mass is needed to even have time in itself and vice versa, for mass to form from energy, we need time.

Even the Theory of Relativity, which is still a classical model at heart, and it's time dilation proven right by our everyday use produce around us, like GPS or air travel.

Quantum

Which leads us to quantum time interpretation. Bohr and Heisenberg postulated that time to be irreversible. Introduction of so-called arrow-of-time, result of a wave model/function, that a wave cannot be undone. A bit more complex quantum theory (Page-Wootters) predicts that time is actually an emergent phenomenon resulting from a strange quantum concept known as entanglement, in which different quantum particles effectively share an existence.

Back to our time and space continuum

The last is in its form actually very romantic definition at heart, "quantum particles effectively share an existence".

In our shared experience things are moving well in the arrow-of-time. We are in the last stint of the race and things start to play together, not without detours and hickups along the way though.

Movements

We have all in stock, rotors disassembled and being customized and are ready.

Cases

Are all done and were waiting for our "go" at a supplier warehouse to get them shipped. So they are on the way, we will receive them second week of June.

Dials

There has been a minor QC fail on few of the deliveries, and we want only the best, so we returned them to the producer to fix that, all will be rectified within next two weeks too. 

 

Dials plain coatings going through process, shiny part is a special protection film in the coating process

Hands and lumes

Again, all produced and on its way from the supplier's warehouse to us in Switzerland, we will receive it after the weekend.

Straps

This sounds like a broken record, but again, on its way, waited for our final go, which we gave now and we will receive next week.

Packaging

It is being produced at quantity as we speak, scheduled for delivery in second week of June.

Assembly

Assembly tests are fine, QC process in place, as we can see on the sample of dials above, water proof tests etc all OK.

So basically all in all, everything is good and by end of June first completed boxes will be shipped out from Switzerland to those lucky who are at the forefront of the backers list. We will fulfill all orders by the sequence from there with production running estimated 2-3 weeks.
