     Smaltovaný číselník, krásná tradiční umělecká práce, která vzniká rukou zkušených mistrů. Umění, které bylo předáváno z mistra na žáka po celá staletí, aniž by se na něm cokoli zásadního měnilo.

Miniaturní malba: základem je smaltovaná destička v bílé barvě. Barevnými laky se pod mikroskopem  pracně zdobí povrch číselníku. Ten je vypalován při teplotě 800 stupňů Celsia po každém nanesení barev, od těch výraznějších až po nejjemnější. Práce na dílu končí nanesením vrstvy průhledného laku a konečným vypálením.

Po vypálení a následném ochlazení se přebytečný smalt odstraní hrubým broušením, po něm je číselník ručně leštěn diamantovým pilníčkem, dokud se nestane dokonalým.

No konečně vidím na letošním Baselu nějakou pořádnou mašinu, zatím to nebylo co oslavovat. Kdyby dělal Girard-Perregaux takové scény ohledně uvedení takovýchto vyspělých a složitých  hodinkách jako Omega u modelu 300, na kterých není absolutně nic, musel by Girard-Perregaux začít už předloni.

The Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland measures, like its siblings, 44 mm in diameter and is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters. The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating and the case back also features a sapphire crystal that allows a view on the in-house movement. Inside ticks the reliable self-winding movement, caliber GP 3300 with a chronograph module on top. Combined (base movement GP 3300 and chrono module) it is named GP03300-0073, and it ticks at a pace of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and does that for at least 46 hours, without rewinding.
