It is, however, a relatively young additional function, with the first watch using this type of date display not being produced until 1945. In contrast, the date hand is one of a number of complications that have been around for a long time but are only used on rare occasions in the present. The date hand was first used in a pocket watch back in as early as 1793. For our company, this is reason enough to bring this classic complication back to the forefront in our manufacturing line. The Robert Mühle Zeigerdatum is now the leading model in an illustrious collection of time measuring instruments fitted with this rare complication. We have, of course, designed the mechanism especially to suit this new Mühle watch. After all, anything else simply wouldn't do it justice.
