The case is made of Brilliant Hard Titanium, Seiko's name for a proprietary titanium alloy that's twice as hard as stainless steel, while being much lighter as well as more corrosion resistant. The case is polished using the zaratsu sword-polishing technique characteristic of Grand Seiko cases, and the crystal is Seiko's "High Definition" synthetic sapphire, which has a proprietary antireflective coating that gives exceptional clarity, as well as eliminating the bluish cast characteristic of typical AR treatments.

 

The movement: Grand Seiko caliber 9S68, self-winding, running at 28,800 vph, with a 72-hour power reserve
