Nasty Tooth Odesláno 23. dubna 2008 Nahlásit Sdílet Odesláno 23. dubna 2008 (upraveno) Sorry for the English again but I have always wondered why the prices of Rolex?s are so high in Prague? I have bought my last 5/6 rolexes form the dealer in Prague because I live here and like to support the Czech market however I just can?t bring myself to pay 30 000+ above the uk list price anymore which is why the last couple where bought in the uk. I know the DPH is a little higher here but not that much, so any idea why they are so much more expensive here? JJ Odesláno 24. dubna 2008 Nahlásit Sdílet Odesláno 24. dubna 2008 The dealers simply charge the highest price that they can afford without going bankrupt. And since they have not gone bankrupt yet, their calculation appears to be a correct one, regardless of what a few watch buffs like us thinks about that. It is a simple supply and demand issue. Let's face it, for some 80% of the population a watch that costs more than say 5kCZK is already too expensive. The market for more expensive watches is simply too small to make profit on volumes and people who do buy them will pretty likely swallow the price as it is now. And in case you have not noticed yet, it is not something specific to watch market. If I buy tires for my car in CZ, I got charged about 50% more than in Holland. Again the logic is simple: if someone can afford to use a car that uses this size/weight/speed index tires, he probably won't be ruined by extra 100 Euro per tire... I do see your point here however I thought the prices would be set by rolex and not the local shops. But yes everything is very expensive in Prague. FYI if you need tyres you should try here http://www.pneushop.cz Odkaz ke komentáři Sdílet na ostatní stránky
