LCD PRIM - who has informations about this watches?

It`s my first entry here, so I will tell some facts about me....

 

I am a friend of Czech and Slovak Republic. When I was a child, my parents were often with us in CSSR in Sumava for holidays.

We have friends in Rokycany and so I am about 30 years again and again in all tourist centres (and beneath) in CSSR and now Czech Republic.

I think on this way was born my "love" to the country, Skoda and - PRIM.

 

Last month I bought a PRIM SPORT2 in TOP Condition (new) on german "ebay".

 

But now I bought on internet a black PRIM LCD - QUARTZ - clock in very good condition.

Now my question:

 

Can someone please tell me something about this clocks? On the PRIM - webpage I couldnt find any information about the LCD-watches.....

Were the LCD watches rare? And how much have they cost in CSSR? Were they build in Nove Mesto too or in another fabrication (maybe TESLA??)

 

I am happy about any information!!

Hallo,

meine Deutsch is mehr als schrecklich, so let's use English as well. I don't have much info about PRIM LCD watches, but I think their origin is soviet - I mean LCD PRIM is based on soviet LCD watches and electronics (produced and marked as Electronika), only the case is marked as PRIM. Basically it is soviet product. I would welcome any other members to improve and correct this info.

Hello Michael! It is nice to see, that Chronomag is becoming a communication platform not only for people from the Czech republic.

 

Last month I bought a PRIM SPORT2 in TOP Condition (new) on german "ebay".

 

Congratulations. Prim Sport watches (both 1st and 2nd generations) were very popular in out country and today, "Sports" belong to the most popular timepiece for Prim collectors.

 

But now I bought on internet a black PRIM LCD - QUARTZ - clock in very good condition.

 

Digital LCD Prim watches are now, as far as I know, quite rare! One really do not meet these models very often. According to member Accutron and his post in similar thread (in czech), these watches were made in the early '80s. The versions were following: basic men model with hours/minutes/seconds, men chronograph, women model with hours/minutes. The watches had common electronics module with some soviet digi-watches, si I suppose, that only casing were done in Czechoslovakia. Unfortunatelly I cannot give you more information, because I am not a digi-expert. Maybe someone will write here more facts.

Thanks for the nice words and informations! On chronomag I think its a nice communication between the users! To je pekny! :-)

In germany the PRIM watches are not very known, in GDR (SRN)-times the RUHLA-watches were very popular in east-germany. But they were very expensive! So for me it would be interesting to know, how much the czechoslovak PRIM LCD watches had cost in the old CSSR.

For me PRIM is like "a nice part of my life" who I remember the "good old times"...(I know Its only a dream:-))

The PRIM SPORT 2 looks very nice, I will add a picture today in the evening. I hope that I receive my PRIM LCD watch next week:-)!

Now I am still very interested in a blue PRIM TELEVIZE in good condition. Maybe I can find such a watch sometimes on aukro:-).

Here now my new PRIM SPORT2 - I am very happy about this nice watch!

 

And the other watch I own (s bilem cifernikem )is nice too, but I don`t know what it is - is it a SPORT watch too?

The white watch only has cca. 3 seconds difference /day!!!

Nearly without scratches - like NEW!
