Ono by se vlastně mělo říkat "Solvil et Titus", asi ... Když jsem teď kvůli tomu projížděl internet, tak jsem se tam setkal i s názorem (v nějakém chatu), že je to produkce Honk-Kongu. Že by? U těhle se mi to moc nezdá, nejsou zrovna nejmladší .. Odhaduju to tak na 70-80 léta.

Whatever Solvil Titus model you?re wearing, make sure it?s an automatic to save the environment from being littered with toxic batteries. Besides, automatic watches have more value in the long run as compared to quartz watches.

the seller told me it?s a brand from Japan but I?m a bit confuse as I saw several pictures showing ?swiss titus automatic? written in the watch?

Titus is one of the Swiss watch companies founded by the cutting edge inventor, watchmaker, and horological author, Paul Ditisheim. A child prodigy who graduated from the Horological School of La Chaux de Fonds when he was 13, Ditisheim worked at his father?s company, Vulcain, before founding the watchmaking firms of Titus and Solvil in Geneva, Switzerland. During his career, Ditisheim won numerous chronometer performance competitions with innovations of his own design, including the 1903 Kew Observatory Contest.

I just bought Solvil De Titus at Malaysia KLCC City Chain Shop.I bought the same on 12th Decemeber 2007.

 

It shows Day , month & time as per 24 hrs standard.

 

Unfortunately when month of December expired date changed but not a month.

 

Even i do not have manual?Searching for the same.If any of you know which website the same will be available please inform.

 

In India we do not have service centre for this watch so it is just lying with me in a semi paralysed state.

 

Otherwise i have to spend INR 20000-30000 to go to Malysia & get this automatic watch repaired

 

Just one suggestion before buying watch abroad check thoroughly whether all functions are working & do not buy watch who does not have service centre in your own city/country.

 

otherwise you will repend your decision like mine.

Hey guys same here, i just bought a Solvil Titus watch. I cant find the website. Because im doing a presentation and i want to talk about the watch Titus. Because i bought a pair of the Solvil titus watch. my model is 06-1284-001. for some reason i couldnt find it in google. hopefully anyone here can help out.

The titus watch is awesome. it does look like a high standard watch around my wrist.

I just received an Automatic Solvil Titus Watch from my boy friend as a gift. It is a square, big and stainless steel watch. I think its can be used for female and male. But the problem is, I couldn?t find the Service Centre in Indonesia especially in Jakarta. Can u all give me any suggestion if there?s problem with my new watch? Solvil et Titus IS a Swiss Brand not from Hong Kong ? perhaps maybe today with copies.

I have a very thin Titus President case No 6064 it was a gift from my late father given to me in the late 60?s.

 

The jeweler whom sold it to my father was a reputable dealer and the son is still in business today. This watch is imported from Switzerland and is authentic.

For a thin watch it has some weight.

It originally came with a black leather band, and is gold plated.

No it is not for sale ? I am merely confirming the authenticity of the Brand.

And by the way it keeps perfect time and in all these years has never missed a beat.

It is truly a remarkable piece of machinery.

Hope this solves all your arguments from the ?know-it-alls?

I owned a Titus automatic (gold) watch and recently bought a 2nd hand Rolex DateJust watch.

 

Just send my Rolex for overhaul for S$600.

 

Comparing both watches, my Titus is definitely genuine and authentic and made from Swiss.

Between my Rolex and Titus, both are Swiss made, both are Swiss Chronometers, both are perpetual movement (commonly known as automatic), both have jewels inside for the mechanical movements, both keeps perfect time still, both are more than 25 years old.

 

My Rolex has been serviced and overhaul twice since made in 1978; while my Titus watch has never been service at all since made in early 1970?s.

I did a comparison between the two.

 

Rolex:

- corrosion on hands and face which the senior technical specialist in Rolex Center said they could not remove them during the overhaul.

- after overhaul, the timing is perfect.

- waterproof and tested to 100m

 

Titus:

- still in perfect conditions. It has been used many times but yet still looking like new.

- no visible corrosion even under magnifying glass. I showed it to the senior technical specialist in Rolex Center and he claimed that my Titus is new (but in fact it is older than the Rolex).

- Mechanical motions is perfect! I compared it with my Polar digital quartz watch for more than 12 hours and deviation is plus minus 1 sec. Amazing from a more than 30 year old watch without prior servicing.

- Solid gold case (not plated); that is the case is cut from a solid piece of gold block.

- beautiful leather strap still looking new.

- only water resistant; but yet moisture did not sip into the watch and watch is still free from any corrosion.

 

Conclusion:

I am paying the price of a Rolls Royce for my Rolex and the price of a Merc for my Titus (figurative speaking), but the performance from my Titus is same (and in some areas, better) than my Rolex. (at least for this particular case/Rolex is still a very good watch and overprice).

 

the mechanism for both Rolex and Titus automatic are perfect.

I tested both with my Polar watch (with split second precision) and both running for 48 hours with no adjustments and its plus minus 3 sec deviations at most. Amazing for automatic watches. Its definitely Swiss Chronometers.

 

I am not sure about the newer Titus, but I am blessed with a genuine authentic Swiss made Titus and Rolex watches. I do have doubts when getting quartz Titus whether they are made in Switerland.

If you are getting automatic (mechanical) watches, then its good to be Swiss made and certified Swiss Chronometers. If you are getting quartz watches, it does not make a big difference if its Swiss made or not (that is my opinion).

I have a really old solvil titus watch for women. The whole watch is gold in color. On the dial face it reads ?Incabloc? and swiss made. Behind reads ?Solvil et Titus, Geneva?. And there is a no. 2507, probably its the product no.

Ladičkový stroj má baterii, takže by to mělo jít rozlišit podle toho. Ty tvoje hodinky jsou navíc starší.
