The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) (Hebrew: ???? ????? ???????? Tzva HaHagana LeYisrael (help?info), "Defense Military of Israel", commonly known in Israel by the Hebrew acronym ??"?, pronounced Tzahal), is the name of Israel's military forces, comprising the Israeli Army, Air Force and Sea Corps.

 

 

The Golani Brigade ????? ????? (also known as 1st Brigade) is an Israeli infantry brigade which was formed on February 28, 1948 when the Levanoni Brigade in the upper Galilee was merged with the Carmeli Brigade to form the Golani Brigade. It is subordinated to the 36th Division and is one of the most highly decorated infantry units in the Israel Defense Forces.

 

 

Krav Maga (Hebrew ??? ???: "contact combat") is a self-defense and military hand-to-hand combat system developed in Israel, which assumes no quarter, and emphasizes maximum threat neutralization in a "real life" context. It came to prominence following its adoption by various Israeli Security Forces and is now used by military and law enforcement personnel, as well as civilians, around the world. In some countries, a revised version is often taught in civilian self defense classes. This excludes numerous 'more lethal' or forceful techniques taught in a military or police context, because of legal proscriptions restricting the teaching of hazardous or life-threatening techniques without appropriate legal authorization.

 

 

The Israeli Sea Corps is the naval arm of the Israel Defense Forces, operating primarily in the Mediterranean Sea in the west and to the Gulf of Eilat, Red Sea, and Gulf of Suez in the south. The Sea Corps current commander is Aluf Eli Marom.

 

 

The Paratroopers Brigade (????? ????????, Hativat HaTzanhanim) is a unit of paratroopers within the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) it's part of central command. It has a history of carrying out special forces-style missions dating back to the 1950s. It is currently involved primarily in counter terror operations within the West Bank. The brigade was created at the mid 1950's when the commando Unit 101 was merged with Battalion 890 (the IDF's Airborne Commando unit) in order to form an elite infantry brigade. The new unit was equipped with the IMI Uzi submachine gun as their primary weapon as it provided light and small automatic fire - essential properties for recon units and commandos. The goals in creating the Paratroopers Brigade were: 1. To have an elite infantry force. 2. To innovate and improve fighting skills within other infantry units. 3. To raise the next generation of military commanders and officers. The first commander of the Paratroopers Brigade was Ariel Sharon.

 

 

The Israeli Air Force -IAF- is the Israel Defense Forces air force .

Fakt nic moc. Raději se koukni do jiného vlákna, co opravdu vojáci nosí. Jo, a jen tak pro pořádek - Izrael nemá armádu, takže název vlákna Israel Army je IMHO blbost. Pamatuj, Izrael má pouze obranné síly (IDF) ......

Mas pravdu, IDF = Israel Defense Forces. Googel nasiel, wikipedia potvrdila, takze sorry. Zmiatol ma ten napis na ciapkach co tam predavaju ISRAEL ARMY.

V Izraeli musi na vojnu i zenske, takze tam vojenskou historii ma spousta hodinek.

 

Ale jinak souhlas s tim, ze se v tomto pripade jedna s nejvetsi pravdepodobnosti o lakadlo pro turisty. Asi jako kdyz si muzete v Jeruzalemne koupit v jednom stanku tricko s napisem Mosad a i Free Palestine.

Peter, to sorry ani nebylo nutne. Ono DEFENSE má totiž zajímavý historický podtext související se vznikem státu Izrael .... bla bla bla, končím přednášku na sionistické téma a přeji všem hezký šábes :-)

Potvrzuji výše uvedené, ty hodinky nemají s IDF nic společného a nápis Kraft Maga je vyloženě k smíchu.

 

Kluci (i holky) v IDF nosí primárně G-shocky a spol., obdobně jako v jiných armádách.

 

(žil jsem v Izru více než dva roky a měl blízko..)
