....tests relating to regularity of rate, temperature, atmospheric pressure and resistance to shocks and magnetic fields, as well as water-resistance trials. .....

 

The criteria of the ?1,000 Hours Control? programme considerably exceed the standards of official timing tests, which deal only with part of the movement. Jaeger-LeCoultre tests not only the movement prior to its being cased up in the watch, but also the watch as a whole."

Manuál je taký univerzálny stručný v x jazykoch. Nič tam nie je o kontrole. Ale našiel som toto:

 

Accuracy must be within the range of -1 to +6 seconds per day (COSC -4/+6 for Gents and -5/+8s for Ladies)

Power Reserve Test:under intense activity and when in low activity simulation (COSC not tested)

Functions and aesthetic inspections and test (COSC not tested).

Knocking test for the balance (COSC not tested)

Accuracy under normal and fully wound. Test in 6 positions and in cyclos (COSC 5 positions, normal condition only)

Water resistance test at least 5 ATM (COSC not tested)

Shock Resistance test with 20,000 small simulated shocks (COSC not tested)

Resistance to thermal variation between 4 degrees to 40 degress centigrade (COSC 8 to 38 degrees centigrade)

 

 

Čiže vyzerá to na nejaký prísnejší COSC test, ktorý trvá 41 dní.

Čiže vyzerá to na nejaký prísnejší COSC test, ktorý trvá 41 dní.

 

Na starých stránkách JLC byl test podrobně popsán, na současných je komentován takto: "The ?1,000 Hours Control? seal or legend placed or engraved on the back of your watch certifies that the latter has undergone this programme of observation in our laboratories and has successfully passed all the tests relating to regularity of rate, temperature, atmospheric pressure and resistance to shocks and magnetic fields, as well as water-resistance trials."

Oproti výše citovanému popisu se nyní uvádí test na odolnost magnetickému poli: je možné, že se i tento test nějak vyvíjí.

Je třeba také zdůraznit, že JLC testuje strojky s ručkami, zapouzdřené, zatímco COSC testuje strojky nezapouzdřené.

Také bych očekával, že po 1.000 hodinách je strojek už částečně zaběhnutý.
