Micky Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 Greetings, what do you think is the ideal TIMELESS watch size is? Personally speaking 38mm-42mm.........I think that a lot of large watches purchased today that are in fashion are going to look rather strange and unwearable in the future. Enjoy the steam bath ..... !! Best wishes Micky
Honza.manta Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 That is about your personally feeling only. What ewer you would like on your hand, that is the right size.
IzTaPa Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 only 20 years ago, one'd say that anything above 38/39mm in diameter is excessive, fashion-only...
Micky Posted July 21, 2014 Author Report Posted July 21, 2014 Good morning Honza, I agree, but fashion is not always timeless. We are influenced by what is in fashion today, but later we realise that it looks strange. What looks good today does not always look good tomorrow. Timeless design does exist, I think. Bathrooms are another good example of this....sixties fashion.. To invest a huge quantity of money for a watch should mean we can wear it for ever......or not?
Micky Posted July 21, 2014 Author Report Posted July 21, 2014 Villa Tungendhat is an example of timeless design.
Micky Posted July 21, 2014 Author Report Posted July 21, 2014 In fashion there are classic examples of size ,colour and design ....for ladies.... the little black dress, for men when you buy a suit to have trousers that are straight not flared etc. A Sport 1 still looks good today.
Honza.manta Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 I´m dresing watch from 37mm to 49mm and I´m happy with all of them. My hand is all most 18cm. It´s only about your feeling with them on hand.No one watch are forever, but I´m belevig, Prim Orlík, Prim Igen, Prim Sport 2 and BALL is forever for me. Everysing else is only chelenge.
mikymik Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 What is the point of asking such ordinary questions on PRIM lovers forum?
parnistroj Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) What a strange question The answer is 42And no, it's not a coincidence Edited July 24, 2014 by parnistroj

Rumsztyk Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 Definitely, 30 like my prim cal 52. Light and comfortable
JoyStick Posted May 17, 2018 Report Posted May 17, 2018 I'd say 40 is the most versatile, but ideal depends on given situation and job at hand and of course on the watch "cut". For me 38-46 with all that in mind.
Marhi Posted May 18, 2018 Report Posted May 18, 2018 I mean 40.Smaller is for kids and women. Large so not very practice, for daily use.My ipinion.
